About me
I am Violeta Kom, a contemporary abstract landscape artist with a signature style, which is expressed in colour, texture and natural details. Inspired by nature and grounded in my natural-born creativity. All my paintings are about oceans, mountains, trees, skies and florals, I see them in my own way and I share my vision with you.
Creativity is what drives me through life
In addition to being a full time artist, I’m a wife and a proud mother of two ambitious, charismatic children. They have grown up, but are still a huge part of my world.
I started to paint and became a full time artist in my early forties, but art was always a huge part of my life. I spent a big part of my life in fashion, designing women’s clothing, creating and selling it all over the world. I was enjoying it, as it fed my creative soul. But I always wanted something more, where I can be a 100% me.
Then I painted my first painting, I knew that was it! It fulfilled me; it gave me something that I never had before. It felt like I was inaudible all this time and now I can finally articulate my blooming passion.
Nature is something that lives in my heart, I can stand in the forest or mountains, or simply in the park and watch the nature unfold for hours. You can feel everything there: power, beauty, fragility, strength, freedom … That’s what I express through my artwork. Combining rich colours, texture and natural ingredients, such as shells, wood, pine cones, moss, flowers and etc. I pass the harmony of nature to your home.
Natures energy goes through your body creating peace in your mind
I like to think that my paintings give people a journey through feelings. You can stand back and take in all the colours, all the beauty of nature, or you can look closer, go through all the details and strokes to enhance your curiosity in a new way every time you look at it.
